This Privacy Policy explains how Global Computer Systems ("GCS," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit global-usa.com (the "Site"), subscribe to our newsletter, or contact us through the Site.

This policy covers the Site only. When we provide managed IT, cybersecurity, or other services to a client, information we handle for that client is governed by our agreement with the client (and, where applicable, a business associate agreement or data processing terms), not by this policy.

Information we collect

Information you give us

Contact and assessment forms. Your name, company, work email, phone number (optional), organization size, and anything you write in the message field.
Newsletter sign-up. Your email address and the page you signed up from.
Email and phone. Whatever you choose to include when you email or call us.

When you submit a form or sign up for the newsletter, the details are delivered to our team by email through Cloudflare Email Service, and we keep them in our business email as a record of your inquiry or subscription.

Please do not send passwords, patient or health information, payment card data, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive information through the Site. The forms are not designed for it, and we will not ask for it.

Information collected automatically

Security and spam protection. Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which evaluates signals from your browser and device (for example, browser characteristics and your IP address) to tell people from automated bots. Turnstile does not use this information for advertising.
Campaign details. If you arrive from an ad or a tagged link, the Site notes the campaign tags (such as UTM parameters) and ad click identifiers from the link, the first page you visited, and the referring website. These are kept in your browser's session storage for the current browser session only and are sent to us only if you submit a contact or assessment form, so we know which campaign brought you to us.
Server and security logs. Our hosting and security provider processes standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and time of request) to deliver the Site, keep it secure, and prevent abuse.
Analytics and advertising. Only if you allow it; see the next section.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

The Site works without any analytics or advertising cookies. Essential technologies (security protection, session storage for campaign details, and your consent choice itself) are used to operate the Site.

With your consent, we use the following tools to understand how the Site is used and to measure whether our advertising works:

Google Analytics: which pages are visited and how people find the Site
Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and LinkedIn Insight Tag: measuring conversions from our ads (for example, that a form was submitted after an ad click) and, where permitted, showing our ads to people who have visited the Site

These tools are loaded through Cloudflare Zaraz and do not run until you allow them in our consent banner. They may set cookies or similar identifiers and receive information about your visit, such as pages viewed, your IP address, and device details. We never send your name, email address, phone number, or form messages to these tools. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie Preferences (also in the footer of every page).

Global Privacy Control. Where required by law, we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request to opt out of advertising cookies and similar sharing for that browser.

How we use information

To respond to your inquiry, provide the assessment or service you asked about, and follow up on it
To send you our newsletter if you subscribed
To keep records of business inquiries and relationships, including in our customer relationship management (CRM) system
To understand which pages, content, and campaigns are useful, and to improve the Site
To protect the Site, our business, and visitors from spam, fraud, and security threats
To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

Our newsletter

If you subscribe, we will email you practical IT and security articles and occasional news about our services. Every newsletter email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing sales@global-usa.com with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line. We keep a record that you unsubscribed so we don't email you again.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising except through the advertising tools described above, and only with your consent.

We share personal information only as follows:

Service providers that operate the Site and our business on our behalf, under contractual obligations to protect it and use it only to provide their services to us. These include Cloudflare (website hosting, security, bot protection, and Cloudflare Email Service, which delivers form submissions and newsletter sign-ups to our team by email), Microsoft 365 (our business email, where those messages are received and kept), our CRM (HaloPSA, when we add an inquiry to it), and, if you consent, the analytics and advertising providers listed above.
Legal and safety reasons, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of GCS, our clients, or others.
Business transfers, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to this policy's protections.

How long we keep information

Inquiries that don't become client relationships: up to three years after our last contact with you, then deleted or de-identified.
Client relationships: for the length of the relationship and as long afterward as needed for legal, tax, and accounting purposes.
Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only your email address on a suppression list so we honor your choice.
Security and email delivery logs: for the limited period Cloudflare retains them. Delivery logs record technical details such as sender, recipient, time, and delivery status.

How we protect information

We protect information submitted through the Site with encryption in transit, verification against automated abuse, access limited to the people who need it, multi-factor authentication on the systems that store it, and monitoring. We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards consistent with New York's SHIELD Act. No system is perfectly secure, but we hold our own website and systems to the standards we recommend to our clients. If a security incident affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

Your choices and rights

Access, correction, and deletion. You can ask what personal information we hold about you from the Site, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
Marketing emails. Unsubscribe at any time as described above.
Cookies and advertising. Use Cookie Preferences or a Global Privacy Control signal.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, such as the right to know what we collect, to obtain a copy, or to opt out of certain sharing. To make a request, email sales@global-usa.com with "Privacy request" in the subject line or call us at 631-476-6500. We will verify your request using information we already have (usually by confirming control of the email address you used), and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Children

The Site is intended for business audiences. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Visitors outside the United States

GCS is based in the United States and the Site is intended for U.S. businesses. If you visit from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

Links to other websites

The Site may link to websites we don't control, such as vendor or partner sites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If we make material changes to how we use personal information you've already given us, we will provide additional notice where required.
